Pollock's Toy Museum has a long history of association with the Pearlies, dating back to the 1960s when BBC journalist and museum founder, Marguerite Fawdry, joined author, artist and Pearly supporter, Pearl Binder, in visiting and recording interviews with all the London Pearly families. This led to an East End Pearly Parlour exhibition at the museum, showing all kinds of borrowed pearly treasures including a macaroni suit, decorated handbags, and a prizewinning donkey blanket.
